For example, their routines on the rings or uneven parallel bars involve compound movements that demand a lot of reinforcement from the abs.<span id="more-184"></span></p>
<p>A lot of body builders separate their workout regimens by concentrating on distinct body parts each day. They might select a single day where they&#8217;ll concentrate solely on working out their abs, but it&#8217;s really more beneficial to work on them for a shorter duration, but more frequently over several workout sessions. To seriously show those stomach muscles whose boss, extend your arms above your head, then bring your upper body and right arm up and bring your left  leg up to meet your right arm. Return and do it again with the left arm and right leg.</p>
<p>Front Levers &#8211; This exercises advanced and can be difficult, but it is definitely one of the <u>most effective ab exercises</u>. Position your hands palms down around a chin up bar. Begin by hanging down at arm&#8217;s length. Then elevate your legs up so that your legs and total body are in a direct line and parallel to the floor. Slowly and gradually lower your arms back down and repeat as necessary.</p>
<p>Leg Crunches &#8211; Sit at the edge of a bench, with your legs stretched and feet in contact with the ground. Put your hands behind you and grab onto the bench. Lift up the legs and bend the knees in towards the chest area, crunching the abs. Stretch out the legs and perform repeatedly.</p>
<p>These ab exercises are effective when done in superset fashion (2 or three supersets), moving from one workout to the next without resting. I can even incorporate one of these exercises in between my other ab exercises to mix things up. Trust me, keep this up, eat a proper diet to reduce the fat covering your mid-section, and you better be prepared to deal with the attention you will get at the beach.</p>
<p>Remember that obtaining a six pack is not just about doing the most effective ab exercises in the gym, but it&#8217;s what you do beyond the gym. If you&#8217;re not applying the equivalent commitment to your diet by eating clean and preparing healthy foods, then all those workout routines will go to waste. It requires self-discipline and the right attitude to stay devoted, but no one said looking good was pain-free.</p>
